Here the booklet that was published for those that made partner this year. The letter on the right is a personal letter signed by our chairman of our firm...
My colleagues gave me some beautiful flowers as well :)
So it has become official that I am promoted to partner as of July 1. My coworkers decorated my office so when I came in this morning, this is what I saw! How embarrassing, but at the same time how lucky I felt to have such great people around me!
Here's a picture of those that were at the banquet.
We won! Here's Jack with our prize basket.
Jason and I continued onto the left bank to the Paris City Hall building. Sooo beautiful, isn't it?
Jason and I were walking from the left bank to the right to in back to the apartment we had rented. The sun started to set and by the time we reached the Ile de la Cite, the city lights started to sparkle on the Seine.
This is the Saint Germain metro stop. I love the lamps and had to take a picture me them as the rail car pulled out from the station.
My house mates Philip and Jack.

On Monday, the second day in France, Jason and I decided to visit a city called Chartres, about 1 hour away.
We're waiting for our flight from Frankfurt to Paris... The guys I'm with are here playing scrabble and I opted to walk around the terminal a bit...
I'm now on my way home... It's been a quite a long week. Finally returning home to SF.
To San Diego for a technology conference. The timing couldn't have been worse, since I'm leaving for Paris in 2 days! But being away from home can be nice. Tomorrow, I return from SD around 8 and will start packing. I hope I didn't forget anything. At the worst case, as long as I have my suit, my passport and my wallet, I should be fine :)
Another view
As you can see, it is about 85 degrees here in Walnut Creek when the city is barely breaking the 60 degree mark. It's only 10 mins or so farther that Burlingame but has a much more beautiful weather and since it's a long course pool but short ways, it's never too crowded. With a grassy area all around, you can even relax and tan after a hard workout :)
Himi is so tired.....
Maybe Himi has a cold... We went out this afternoon to the picnic together so maybe she's tired... In any case, she's so tired and have been napping for the last 2 hours without asking me to take her out to the dog park. It worked out perfectly since I've been working writing performance reviews this afternoon !
One of our Tsunami coaches took on the responsibility of describing to us some of the team rules while we are in Paris for our competition. He's got everyone's attention, or so it seems !
Jason and I with our teammate, David, who's a real sweetheart! It was a nice picnic except for the strong winds that blew our coifs all over the place. Great job Philip for putting together this successful team event together with Jack!
Don't they look devilish? We just had a picnic for our swim team, focusing on those who are going to Paris for the swimming competition.
Here I am, warning up in a towel that Jason had ready for me on the beach. I got something like 45 minutes, which must be a lot slower than last year... But I'm really happy that I was able to finish it. Thanks for telling me to be careful, Josh; thanks for sending good vibes, Stu, and thanks for swimming with me, Jason! I'm happy that I'm back in the water, even if I'm not swimming faster :) all in all, like last year, this was a great swim. I'll come back next year for sure :)
I am almost done!
I'm not sure how Jason was able to tell that it was me from so far away!
Jason took this picture, but here's the finish line as seen from the water as we come in. But note... It was REALLY windy !
As you can see... It is the most beautiful morning...
This is me taken by Jason before the race.
Let me just stretch first!
Do I really have to wake up for a walk?
Since I know that I'll be late tonight with work, I've decided to stop by my place to walk my girl. Most of you who's visited me know about the dog park right behind my building. She loves sniffing around and finding out about the latest gossip of the neighbors' dogs!
Himi is such a sport :) We took this picture this morning after coming back from her walk and she has a bowl of food in front of her.
It's one of those special moments in San Francisco when you're behind a yellow, old-fashioned cable car. When I first moved to San Francisco, my non-San Francisco native friends told me to be careful not to call them trolleys.. So those of you who didn't know, please take note :-)
This is the view from my client to the north towards San Francisco and the Monster Park. I would one day trying a swim from one end of the inlet to another...
