Driving to walnut creek

The funny thing is that, by the time I arrived in Walnut Creek Pool, the sun was shining, and during my 1 hour workout, I got a little bit of a tanline!!!!
To swim, then to visit my girl who's been staying with Rich during the open house period.

At the Chinese Buffet

So after our swim at Clambake, we were HUNGRY!!! We decided that we needed to get something in our stomachs really really fast. The first thing we saw that was reasonable was a Chinese buffet; knowing that it can be awful, we drove into the restaurant... while it was not a gourmet Chinese restaurant, the food hit the right spot in our stomachs ;-) Jason here gulping down the food like I was on the other side of the table.

Mori at the pool... For the first time in my life, I received a 1st place award! It was the first place award in 400IM - I didn't check, but I believe I was the only person in my age group who competed in 400IM, so of course, it would have been natural... but I have to give myself some credit to swimming an event most people hate ;-) The 400IM wasn't easy... but I'd say it was easier than the 200IM since you can take it really slow at the beginning during the butterfly.

Also, I received two other 2nd place awards in 500 free (swam backwards) and 1,000 free.

At the meet
