Amsterdam

So- I'm here in Amsterdam, had no idea this was going to happen until yesterday, when a work reason suddenly pursuaded me over here. From the airport, I went straight to the E&Y offices, and in order to get a reasonable price for the flight, I needed to take a 6:55 flight. I was at the airport by 6:00, which made me leave my friend's house in Munich by 4:30. I am just retiring at almost 4 in the morning, so I've been up for 24 hours. My personal record, I believe. But the days have been really really interesting, and will share with you.

Now, this hotel in Amsterdam is in the older part, and my room's on a 3rd floor walkup. Mind you, 3rd floor in Amsterdam means 4th floor US. And so it took quite a bit of hiking to get up here, but it's quiet, and I can hear the hard rain tapping on the rooftop. A bit romantic, although no one to share it with here.

I am planning (as weather permits) to go about the city to different parts, including museums. I thought Lego land was in Amsterdam, but actually, it's in Denmark.... so I'm going to miss it altogether.
